Years before the merchants' family Gramm from Bozen bought the Plattnerhof, they had begun to collect old, historical beekeeping-objects.
The farm was restored between the years 1986 and 1991 and is now a museum for apiculture, where you can find one of the most extensive collection of objects concerning historical apiculture. The historical farm house has been restored as museum and now shows what life used to be like in the older days.
15.000 visitors each year are evidence that the museum is very popular and the museum does its utmost to meet the needs of each visitor..
